Dr. David D. Wang

David Wang earned his M.D., Ph.D. in China, where he received formal medical education and rigorous training in both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine. He is nationally certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology, licensed in acupuncture in Ohio, and has 39 years of clinical experience, including 10 years as a physician in China. Before relocating to the United States in 1995, he served as a senior attending physician at Guang An Men Hospital in Beijing.

Since moving to the U.S., David Wang has been practicing and teaching acupuncture and Oriental medicine. From 1995 to 2000, he served as the Academic Dean and Clinic Director of the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, NM. He then became the Dean of Oriental Medicine at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, OH, from 2001 to 2005, where he designed and established Ohio's first professional master’s degree program in acupuncture. Since 2005, he has had the privilege of working at the OSU Center for Integrative Health, where he played a key role in establishing the acupuncture program from the ground up. Throughout his career at OSU, he has made significant contributions to the development of acupuncture practice and education.
